When Jack Draper returns to the ATP Tour in 2026, the Brit’s squad will have a different feel.
The 23-year-old, who had to end his season after the US Open due to a left arm injury, has hired Andy Murray’s former coach Jamie Delgado and will part ways with long-time coach James Trotman. The coach has decided to leave his role and focus on his family life as a husband and father.
“My relationship with Jack is strong. We are extremely close,” Trotman said in an interview BBC Sport article. “We have spent more time together over the last four years than anyone on the planet. We remain incredibly close and of course I will be watching and supporting from the sidelines in any way I can.”
Trotman helped Draper to his first ATP Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells in March, with the British No. 1 reaching a career-high PIF ATP ranking of No. 4 in June. The pair won three tour-level titles together, including Stuttgart and Vienna last season.
“Whatever Jack does in the future, I am incredibly proud of the work I have done,” Trotman said. “And where Jack is today is not just the result of me, it is the result of everyone who has worked with Jack and his family from a young age.”
Delgado recently worked with Grigor Dimitrov for three years, with their partnership ending last month. In addition to his time at Murray from 2016 to 2021, he also coached Gilles Muller.
