Peed through a series of controversies involving prominent Shiv Sena leaders, Maharashtra Vice -Minister Eknath Shind sharpened the legislators and ministers of his party and told them to maintain discipline in public life.

The incident with Gaikwad led to a political commotion, in which Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC Anil Parab raised the issue in the legislative council and demanded the suspension. “Such actions affect the image of the meeting and the government,” said Parab.

Minister President Devendra Fadnavis also condemned Gaikwad’s behavior as ‘inappropriate’, and said, “This sends the wrong message that legislators abuse their power.”
