‘Done Deal’ – Newcastle are making breakthrough; Could have a huge domino effect for Liverpool

After countless failed activities during the summer transfer window, Newcastle could finally sign a striker?

The efforts of the Magpies to strengthen their forward line have constantly touched the rocks, with Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko who all go elsewhere and several bids for Yoane Wissa and Jorgen Strand Larsen are rejected.

Alexander Isak has insisted to leave St James’ Park in the midst of continuous interest from Liverpool, but the Tyneside club has insisted that the Sweden International will not be sold unless a replacement is brought in and their asking price is being brought.

Newcastle agree to sign Nick Woltemade

On Thursday evening it turned out that Newcastle finally made a breakthrough in their efforts to strengthen their attacking options.

Sky Germany Reporter Florian Plettenberg broke the news (Via x) of one ‘Done Deal’ for Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade, with a ‘Full agreement’ are reached with the Bundesliga club for a fixed reimbursement of € 85 million (£ 73.5 million) plus € 5 million (£ 4.3 million) in add-ons.

The 23-year-old is deemed to be ‘On the way’ to Tyneside and has “She said goodbye” To those at the Mhparena.

Sky Sports’Keith Downie soon confirmed those reports and added that the German striker will travel to the northeast of England for a medical ‘In the next 24 hours’.

Could Newcastle now be willing to have Isak added to Liverpool?

With the long search from Newcastle for a new center-forward that would apparently end, what could that mean for Isak and Liverpool?

It is not automatically a case of the Swedish striker who can leave St James’ park just because Woltemade is about to join Eddie Howe, because the Reds should still come a lot closer to the £ 150 million valuation of the Magpies than with their opening offer of £ 110m in the beginning of August (Sky Sports).

Assuming, however, there are no late hitches with the imminent transfer from the German to Tyneside, Newcastle can make it more susceptible to give their number 14 his wish for a move to Anfield before the deadline from 7 pm to Monday.

It can also help that in the meantime they are connected together in one of the domestic cups-the two teams are not opposed to each other until the end of January, after they have disputed a pulsating five-goal affair in St James ‘Park earlier this week in St James’ Park, with Rio Ngumoha who scored our stop time winner.

Liverpool will hope for a classic Domino effect in the last days of the transfer window, and that the upcoming arrival of Woltemade in the northeast can help convince the magpies to give the green light for Isak to join the Premier League champions.

Could there finally come proverbial white smoke that came from Anfield between now and Monday?
