Dom Hamel has thrown more than 100 games and captured more than 400 innings with various METS branches since he was arranged in the third round in 2021 from Dallas Baptist.

He entered Citi Field on Monday, knowing that his next inning would be his biggest.

The Mets called on the Righty, who had developed as a starting pitcher until this year he switched into a long arm in the bullpen, while he went back Righty Austin Warren to Triple-A Syracuse.

“It was a long time ago,” said Hamel, who was the club’s prospect in both 2022 and ’23 before the struggle in Syracuse brought his turnout last year.

The right side started this season in the rotation of Syracuse before he found better results as a reliever of two or three inning. He owned a 4.12 ERA in his last 10 games and 19 ⅔ innings in Syracuse, a piece in which he switched 22 and ran one, which gave rise to the call he wanted for four years.

“I just don’t try to leave a choice,” Hamel told the Guardians for the series opener. “I don’t want to go back. I am here. I think I’m here for a reason. So I’m just going to do my thing and let it drive.”

The transition from the Bullpen has helped him to rise – just like an episode outside the season. Inspired by the Luke Weaver of the Yankees and the Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Dodgers, Hamel closed its full windup and now works out of the piece with a slide step.

Weaver’s career started when he made the switch. Earlier this year informed about the distribution of the Gospel Dia-steps, Weaver was flattered and appreciative.

“It’s about trying to find what you are going to bring to an elite level and trust in trying – that’s the most that I get from this,” Weaver said. ‘Hey, I was in the same boat [as Hamel]. I tried everything to try. Sometimes it just doesn’t really click or work. But the whole theme is never to stop trying. You never know when you come across anything that will change your life. “
