Andrey Rublev and Fabian Marozsan will face each other for the fifth time in their careers on Wednesday as they battle for a spot in the quarterfinals of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open.
The series couldn’t have been more competitive. The tie is 2-2 and three of their four meetings required final sets; the only exception is a 7-6(2), 7-6(7) victory for Rublev on the indoor hard courts of Rotterdam in 2025.
There should be another good player on the horizon, but it is difficult to choose against Rublev in Doha. He is 17-5 lifetime at this tournament with two titles – including last year.
