The Dodgers have not obtained bye with the Milwaukee Bewers and Philadelphia Phillies who lock the first and second NL seeds. Now LA will have to come with another NL team in the best-of-three Wild Card series.
If the Dodgers move forward, they will face the Phillies in the NL Division series. Although LA has the advantage in the Wildcardronde, the short series can be problematic for each team.
The Dodgers will have to see their best next week, and it will only be harder if the defensive champions reach the NLDs. Philadelphia has several left-handed pitchers, which is a heavy matchup for the line-up of Dodgers.
Nevertheless, the road until October is something that the Dodgers are familiar with and their resilience will be tested in the coming days.
