The Dodgers took their time with his most recent Il -Stint, hoping that they could place the injury once and for all for the late season.
Unfortunately that didn’t seem to work.
Edman was removed from Wednesday’s game in the first half of the 11th inning after his RBI Single. He was then on Thursday in which La de National League west.
He is again out of the line -up on Friday, and Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times unveiled manager Dave Roberts said that Edman’s was only ‘a bit painful’, on his way to the last weekend of the regular season.
The Dodgers will of course probably go with sufficient caution with the Wild Card series that starts with this coming Tuesday. However, it is a bit worrying for LA that Edman’s ankle injury still keeps him out of the competitions with the late season.

Edman was the National League Championship series MVP in the last late season after a lay in a mid-season trade, and was rewarded this winter with a five-year contract extension of $ 74 million. After a red -hot start, Edman has cooled down in an under -average offensive season, making it .229/.278/.387 with 13 home runs, 49 RBIs and an OPS of .665 are cut.
Edman is an above -average defender in multiple positions, and the Dodgers need his versatility in October. That is why they will probably be careful with him this weekend, because they play for nothing, with the Wild Card series that starts on Tuesday.
