Dodgers Slugger Freddie Freeman’s aunt a ‘Golden Bachelor’ participant

This is a crossover that many did not see: Freddie Freeman and ‘The Golden Bachelor’.

The Dodgers star has an unexpected connection with season 2 of the ABC dating show, because he is the cousin of competition Carol Freeman-Branstine, who also acts as the two-time family manager of the World Series Champ, According to the network.

Freeman-Branstine is one of the 23 women who chased Mel Owens, a former Linebacker for the Rams that became a lawyer, and now the second ever ‘Golden Bachelor’.

Freeman-Branstine, 63, who has three daughters from an earlier relationship, loves bad bunny and is a competent tambourine player, according to her show Bio on the ABC website. It also says she drinks more cola light than water.

She recently returned to university and loves it.

“I can now get student and senior discounts!” She joked.

Freeman-Branstine is now aimed at finding love with Owens.

“For Carol this trip is all going to find her forever, so here it is hoping that she can find that meaningful bond with Mel,” says her ABC Bio.

During Wednesday’s premiere of ‘The Golden Bachelor’, 66-year-old Owens regretted his earlier comments, when he said he would ‘cut’ every woman older than 60 after some women called him.

“I fear,” Owens said, on his way to the “Bachelor” mansion for the premiere episode. “It is a bit overwhelming. Age does not matter. If they walk away, I don’t think of age. I look at feelings for connections. It is chemistry. I hope these women don’t judge me on what they have heard, but they probably do that.”

“It doesn’t matter how old you are,” he said at the start of the episode. “Falling in love never stops being magical.”

Owens sent 10 women home: Maia, 58, Susie, 62, Lisa, 66, Tracy, 62, Lily, 72, Anra, 77, Alexandra, 67, Carla, 62, Diane, 71 and Mylene, 61.

In the meantime, Freeman hit two home runs on the baseball court to take three points in an 8-0 win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

The Dodgers will start a three-game series on Friday with the Mariners in Seattle.
