A 47-year-old man has revealed how doctors missed the early warning signals he had destructive cancer because they assumed that they were only side effects of a jab with weight loss.
The unnamed man took Mounjaro-de ‘King Kong’ from weight loss injections due to the potential he started to lose too quickly too quickly.
He is now told that he has stage 3 colon cancer, an advanced stage of the disease, which kills almost half of the patients within five years of their diagnosis.
The man claimed that doctors initially drawing ‘red flag’ of the situation such as persistent constipation and nausea as simple side effects of Mounjaro.
Sharing his story in a Reddit forum for patients who used the drug to do not reject worrying changes in their bodies in fellow users.
‘Mounjaro masked the real cause of my fast weight loss. Looking back there were red flags. I brought them up with my doctor, but even they have informed it for side effects, “he wrote.
‘Please – Listen to your body. Even if the numbers on paper are useful, trust that you feel. ‘
He made it clear that he does not suspect that the medicine caused its cancer and said he just wanted to share his story as a warning story for other patients.
The nameless man took Mounjaro-de ‘King Kong’ from weight loss injections due to the potential he started to lose too quickly too quickly
The man said he originally started taking Mounjaro about two years ago when he was Winded a little more than the 19th (121 kg).
While he enjoyed a ‘slow and stable’ success in the first year and half of a ‘slow and stable’– Loss of 12 pounds (5 kg) in the first year and then 15 kg (7 kg) in six months – he remembered how his weight loss suddenly accelerated.
He said he lost 30 pounds (14 kg) in just two months, and this was followed by further weight loss, which made him technically underweight, where he now weighed around the 9th.
The man said it is right now, about eight months ago, that doctors told him to stop taking Mounjaro.
But he added that despite apparently suffering side effects and continuing to lose weight at this time, Medici said that this was still ‘the persistent effects of Mounjaro’.
It was just a recent colonoscopy – where a thin flexible camera is inserted into the rectum – which revealed the real cause of his symptoms, stage 3 colon cancer.
The man said that looking back were serious signs that there was something wrong than Mounjaro side effects that should not have been ignored.
‘The largest red flag was constipation – except that I had none of the usual symptoms. Life was so busy, I didn’t think much of it … Until one day I realized that I had not had a bowel movement in almost a month. No pain, no discomfort – just nothing, “he wrote.

Colon cancer can ensure that you have blood in your shit, a change in intestinal habit or a lump in your intestine that can cause an obstruction. Some people also suffer from weight loss due to these symptoms
“The second red flag was extreme fatigue. I went to the gym from three times a week to hardly any energy to walk to the mailbox.
“The third red flag? Sudden waves of nausea – for no clear reason.
“The fourth? I have completely lost my appetite. No desires, no hunger – only a void that I continued to drop off. Again, I thought it was because of the medication. ‘
Mounjaro as other drugs Wegovy and Ozempic are summarized in the class of medicines that are jointly known as ‘GLP-1’ injections.
For weight loss they work by simulating a hormone with the same name that rules our sense of appetite.
While patients help to close the medicines, they often cause digestive problems such as constipation, nausea and stomach pain in more than one in 10 people, especially when they first start taking the medicines.
Unfortunately, these are also classic warning signals of colon cancer, of which colon cancer is a type.
Inexplicable weight loss is also considered a serious sign of the disease, but in this case the man said he thought it was just Mounjaro who helped him to slim down.

In retrospect, the man said he should wonder why the medicine suddenly became more effective, but added that he had enjoyed the weight loss too much to look deeper at it.
He added that he was currently undergoing chemotherapy and that doctors have said that his prognosis is ‘favorable’.
Other members of the forum were quickly emphasized that Medici did not have to overshadow the fact that a patient had to overshadow Mounjaro, potential signs of cancer.
They wrote: “This is why doctors have to learn so much more about these medicines, so that they see such red flags and don’t brush it off.”
Another added: “I can see how this MED masked the diagnosis for you, but again, your doctor should have considered at least that something else was going on and you further evaluated.”
Ironically, some studies have suggested that GLP-1 drugs could actually repel colon cancer.
A recent piece of research discovered that taking the medicines was linked to a 16 percent lower risk of colon cancer.
And a 2023 study showed that patients who took the Jabs had a 44 percent lower risk of getting colorectal cancer, including bowel cancer, compared to diabetics treated with insulin.

Although a part of this effect can be due to helping patients to lose weight-with obesity that increases the risk of developing colon cancer experts also a reduction in the risk of cancer in non-obese patients.
Exactly how the medicines can produce this effect in patients with a healthy weight is still being investigated.
The case comes in the midst of concern about rare but potentially deadly side effects of GLP-1 drugs, because ministers are planning to increase the rollout of the Jabs to combat obesity.
Last month, the British drug controller launched a probe in the safety of thick Jabs after hundreds of users developed pancreatitis, a dangerous inflammation of the pancreas, which lagged 10 deaths behind.
Recent estimates suggest that around 1.5 million people in the UK Jabs are taking weight loss, many of which are purchased privately because of NHS ration.
The nameless man Is not the only one affected by a devastating diagnosis of colon cancer as a young adult.
Experts have noticed a relevant and mysterious increase in disease of disease in young adults, defined in terms of cancer than that younger than 50.
A recent worldwide study showed that the percentages of colon cancer in fewer than 50-year-olds rise in 27 of the 50 countries.

England is on average an increase of 3.6 percent in younger adults every year, one of the highest increases registered.
Although it is known that the disease is linked to obesity, experts have noticed that the disease also seems to prevent in fit and healthy patients.
Some experts believe that the explanation must be in environmental factors that are exposed to young people to more than previous generations.
Every year there are approximately 2,600 new cases of new colon cancer in people aged 25-49 in Great Britain and around 44,100 new cases among all ages.
Every year in the UK, around 44,000 cases of colon cancer are diagnosed, with around 130,000 in the US.
The disease kills nearly 17,000 British every year, with the death toll rising to around 50,000 in America.
In general, it is expected that just over half of the colon cancer patients will live 10 years after their diagnosis.
However, the survival percentages vary enormously when the disease is diagnosed.
If the cancer is found in its earliest stages, 90 percent of patients will live five years after their diagnosis.
But if it is found later, when the cancer has begun to show signs from spread to more distant tissues – Stage 3 – this drops to only 65 percent of patients.
Everyone with symptoms of colon cancer for three weeks or more, even if the minor, must contact their doctor for advice.
Although it is probably not a cancer, an early diagnosis – when the disease is usually easier to treat – can greatly improve the results for patients.
