Every golfer wants more speed. You will never reach it if a collision leaves you hanging on the side of the path. Or just slide forward or just think about finishing on your front foot. Your movement needs to be more athletic to deliver the club with the speed you were looking for. What you’re missing is a push to the right.
I liken the move to what an MLB pitcher does. Sure, he finishes on his front foot. But what brings him there? The answer is a big push from his back leg. It’s this push that has the potential to take your swing speed off the charts.
3 exercises every golfer should do to improve their golf swing

You can work on this at the gym or at home with the help of a resistance band and a buddy.
Have your friend hold one end of the band and you hold the other, as shown above. Load into your backswing as normal, where the band releases, and then swing through by really pushing off that trail leg and not just rotating your hips. Think of it as a knockout punch.
Do 10 reps this way and then swing a bat. You’ll feel the difference ā and a lot more speed.
