Djis Mic 3 takes the best wireless microphone and makes it better

I have tested the MIC 3 with cameras, computers and smartphones, with the help of both direct connecting and receiver connection methods. It combined painlessly with everything I threw on it, from my mirror -free camera to my iPhone, and the audio quality remained consistently excellent on different devices and environments. It is also part of the Osmoaudio system, which means that the transmitter can be directly linked to DJI cameras such as the Osmo 360, Osmo Action 5 Pro and Osmo Pocket 3, which completely circumvent the recipient while still offers high-quality audio.

The MIC 3 is not perfect, but I found little to complain about. The channels no longer contain an input of 3.5 mm for connecting external lavalier microphones that can frustrate people who prefer to hide their microphones completely. DJI also dropped the recording mode of the safety tracks that was available on the MIC 2, but it is very possible to prepare one using the available options.

The availability of the US remains uncertain; Just like other recent DJI products, the MIC 3 is not officially launched in America because of continuous rates. American consumers may find units through external retailers, but that is far from ideal for a product that really needs to be available everywhere. For $ 329 for the complete two-transmitter, one-receiver and the charging case package, the MIC 3 is actually cheaper than the MIC 2 in the launch, which I think is a remarkably good value for a product that is superior in almost every way. The decision of DJI to sell individual components separately is also welcome. It means that users can start with a basic setting and can expand over time, or can replace a damaged or lost component without too much hassle.

The DJI MIC 3 basically combines the best aspects of both the MIC 2 and Mic-Mini in a single, well-rounded package. It is more compact and more practical than the MIC 2, and much more advanced than the mini. For content makers, filmmakers and podcasters who are looking for a wireless microphone system that just works, it is very difficult to find an error in it.

The only real question is whether existing MIC 2 owners should upgrade. If the improved portability and the extensive function that appeals to you, the MIC 3 is a solid step forward. But the MIC 2 remains an excellent microphone in itself, so there is no urgent need to make the switch, unless those new functions and upgrades really solve problems that you are currently confronted with.
