Important facts
Disney said it made the decision to give the show back after “thoughtful conversations” with Kimmel.
Disney wrote the Short of Kimmel’s show “to further avoid a tense situation for our country at an emotional moment” and noted that it “felt that some comments were poorly timed and therefore insensitive”.
The decision follows an intensive control of top democrats such as former President Barack Obama, Hollywood stars and large public figures, including former Disney CEO Michael Eisner, who apparently shot the current Disney CEO Bob Iger when he tweeted: “Where did all the leadership go?”
It is not immediately clear whether Nexstar and Sinclair, two broadcasters who have removed Kimmel’s show from a majority of ABC -affiliate stations that they own respectively, broadcast the show again on Tuesday.
Sinclair demanded an apology from Kimmel to Kirk’s family and a “meaningful personal donation to the Kirk family and Turning Point USA”, led the conservative non -profit Kirk.
Forbes has contacted Nexstar and Sinclair for comments.
This is a developing story. Come back for updates.
