Discover when your Samsung telephone receives the onion 8 -update

If you are a Samsung Galaxy user, you know how to feel on that large software update. The good news is that waiting for one onion 8 may be shorter than you think. Yesterday the company started sending the stable version of the new firmware, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. Now Samsung has shared a detailed Android 16-based One onion 8-range scheme for more Galaxy phones.

The timeline was officially posted on the newsroom of Samsung, especially for the Brazilian market. But don’t worry if you are not in Brazil – this is a promising sign that a similar schedule will be followed for a global rollout, also for users in other international regions. You can expect similar – although may not be identical – dates for other countries and regions.

According to the scheduleA number of flagship machines will first stand in line. After the Galaxy S25 devices, the next on the list for this month of September the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the Z Fold 6 and a few popular A-series telephones. The Rest of the eligible handsets are planned to receive the update somewhere in October.
