Rep. Alma Adams said that the charges against Mciver are an indication of the problem of the Trump government with black women.

Beatty said the Trump team Mciver is trying to criminalize because it stands up for transparency. “The charges against her are a politically motivated stunt – a abuse of power that is intended to punish supervision and punish dissidence,” she wrote on X.

Adams went on.

“This administration seems to have problems with black female legislators who do their work,” said the congressman. “I will stand with Rep. Mciver until these flagrant, ridiculous, racist charges are withdrawn and proudly thank her for her courage.”

Although the charges were rejected against him, Baraka wrote: “I am at Lamonica and I expect completely justified.”
