It will be a showdown between two former college stars when Ethan Quinn and Rafael Jodar collide in the first round of the Delray Beach Open on Tuesday.
Quinn is much further along in his progress on the pro tour, which is understandable considering he’s 21 years old and Jodar is only 19. The American and former NCAA singles champion is ranked No. 70 in the world, thanks in part to a third-round performance at the Australian Open (beating Tallon Greekpoor and Hubert Hurkacz both in straight sets).
Jodar is playing well, but the Spaniard only won a total of three matches against Denis Shapovalov in the first round of the Dallas Open last week. Quinn has the home advantage and should appear in front of the home crowd.
Choice: Quinn in 2
