Many fans believe that wellness is primarily a sport for Brazilian athletes. Although they have a deep and established bond, the category has become a global phenomenon. 17 different countries are represented by the 31 athletes who make up the Wellness Olympia 2025, and this lineup has no clear favorites.
The competition will take place on Friday, October 10. Pre-judging will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the finals will be held that evening at the Resorts World Theater. Before we break down this lineup, check out the full roster of competitors below.
Wellness Olympia lineup 2025
Champions from the past
Isabelle Nunes
After years of battling the legendary Francielle Mattos, Nunes finally defeated the three-time champion to become the second Wellness Olympia champion in history. Mattos has announced she will not compete in the 2025 Olympia, leaving the defending champion the only past winner in the lineup.
However, things won’t go smoothly in her first title defense. She’s already tasted defeat once when she finished second to Eduarda Bezerra at the 2025 Wellness International. Losing a non-Olympia event doesn’t guarantee she’ll lose the Olympia, but she needs to take the lessons she learned in Columbus and apply them to her preparation so she can show off the best version of her physique yet. Anything less and she probably won’t finish in first place.
Top contenders
Eduardo Bezerra
Bezerra is already considered by many to be the number one contender for Nunes and her title. She is already in Las Vegas finalizing her preparation. She has a lot of momentum going into the Olympia, but that alone doesn’t guarantee the judges will give her the first go.
That said, you don’t become one of the best in the world by taking it easy, and Bezerra is clearly doing everything he can to seal the deal Friday night. She shared in three simple words what she wants to reveal this weekend.
“My best version.”
Elisa Alcantara
Elisa Alcantara, who finished in fourth place in 2024, was already on the podium this season. She qualified for the Wellness Olympia by winning the 2025 Gomeisa Ultimate Battle Pro in July. With Mattos out of the lineup, she is one of the top three contenders.
The glutes draw most of the attention, but Alcantara also emphasized her quads and hamstrings in her training, so those areas don’t look like weak points. That attention to detail is what it’s all about when you’re standing next to the best on the Olympia podium.
Giselle Machado
Giselle Machado rounded out the top five of 2024. She has done extra work on her upper body to maximize the symmetry and shape needed for the Olympia. Someone on the outside looking in might think that athletes of this caliber get nervous leading up to competition day, but Machado possesses a strong mental game along with her incredible physique.
“With every session I feel my body and mind aligning with one clear goal: to enter the Olympia stage fully prepared. Strong, centered and fully aware of everything I have built so far.”
Dark horses
If this division has proven anything, it’s that nothing is certain. There are several athletes who could make big strides this weekend and upset the apple cart when it comes to the favorites.
Some athletes that should receive extra attention include 2023 Wellness International winner Kassandra Gillis, Lisa Meiswinkel and Leonida Ciobu. They all finished in the top 10 last year and have a good chance of making it into the top six, especially if any of the competitors who occupied those spots miss their peak.
