How to solve the Wordel of today
Saturday is here and it is a busy weekend for your Humble Wormdle Guide. I have just finished writing my review of Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Steps And my weekend streaming guide and I still have some video editing to do and dinner to make and, well, let’s just leave it at that. I’m busy! I clamber! Let’s dive into it immediately and solve this Wordel. . . .
How to play
Wordel is a daily word puzzle game where your goal is to guess a hidden five -letter word in six attempts or less. After each gamble, the game gives feedback to help you get closer to the answer:
- Vegetable: The letter is in the word and in the right place.
- Yellow: The letter is in the word, but in the wrong place.
- Gray: The letter is not in the word at all.
Use these instructions to limit your guesses. Every day brings a new word and everyone around the world tries to solve the same puzzle. Some Wordlers also play a competitive wordel against friends, family, the wormle bone or even against me, your modest narrator. See rules for competitive Wordel by the end of this message.

Sharing was a strong opening council, so I only had 32 remaining words and two yellow boxes. I usually went with new letters for my second gamble (except ‘H’ that I tried to place in a new place). Touch left me with just one possible solution: haunt for the victory!

How to play a competitive wordel
- Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; Councils in 2 is worth 2 points; Councils in 3 is worth 1 point; Guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; Guessing in 5 is -1 points; Guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.
- If you beat your opponent, you get 1 point. If you bind, you get 0 points. And if you lose your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it to get your score. Save a daily running score or just play for a new score every day.
- Friday are 2xp, which means that you doubles your points – positive or negative.
- You can keep an ongoing count or just play day to day. Enjoy!
The Wordel -Etymology of today
The word “haunt” comes from old French pursueWhat does “visit regularly, regularly visit or live.” Its origin is uncertain, but it can be from Germanic origin. The word went English in the 14th century, which initially means “a place often” or “living”, and later it evolved to record the spooky or supernatural feeling of “visit as a spirit” in the 16th century.
