Las Vegas In a catch of 153 pounds, Daniel Santos scored a TKO victory on Joo Sang Yoo on UFC 320 on Saturday.

The end came in the second round just after twenty seconds, and Santos hit “mistakes” he made, and the lack of respect of his opponent, after the victory.

“We knew that it was a chance to win that way, and that is what happened. He did not recognize me, did not respect me, and that is what happened,” said Santos (13-2), speaking with media sales points, including Cageside Press in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

A big mistake, mainly failed weight, was from Santos’ side. The provisional card fight was originally booked on featherweight and then shifted to the north during the Vechtweek. It seems that “Willycat” was ordered to stop his weight by stopping a doctor after he had made an “amateur” error.

“I had a lot of retention and the journey too. I only held water. I felt blown up during the journey. And then I came here an error, only an amateur error,” Santos revealed. “I know that you don’t have to get up quickly during a weight area, you have to do it very slowly, and I didn’t do that. From that moment I don’t remember anything. I had to hear what happened.”

His coach Diego Lima, however, was able to negotiate a catch. “Listen, that’s not what you should do, but I am here. Fortunately everything continued with the fight, and I am here because of that man, because of my coach and manager.”
