For many recent fans, Daniel Cormier may be best known for his work behind the commentary desk. Of course, for the majority of those who have been watching the world of mixed martial arts for years, DC is known as one of the greatest of all time and a former two-weight UFC world champion.
Unfortunately, he’s been retired for a few years now and Daniel Cormier has made it clear that he won’t be venturing into the MMA realm again – at least not when it comes to active competition. However, when he was in the mix, it’s safe to say his most iconic rival was Jon Joneswhom he fought twice.
In a recent interview with Josh Thomson, Daniel Cormier revealed that if the right circumstances presented themselves, he could be interested in battling Jon Jones for a third time, this time on the wrestling mats.

“I would wrestle the right guy,” Cormier told Josh Thomson when he joined Real American Freestyle, a startup freestyle wrestling promotion that has featured many UFC notables to date. “I would wrestle like Jon Jones.”
“No,” Cormier replied. “I don’t wrestle Yoel Romero, bro. I wouldn’t wrestle Yoel. He’s still good, man. He’s crazy good. I don’t wrestle him. I would wrestle like a Jon Jones or someone else, but not Yoel.”
