Experts warn of a dangerous new Covid variant that spreads in more than a dozen states.
NB.1.8.1, nicknamed ‘Nimbus’, first from ChinaWhere it is linked to an increase in cases and there -visits.
It was first detected in the US at the end of March and data suggests that it now makes one in three COVID cases in the US, making it the second most common variant.
Early studies indicate that it can adhere to human cells more efficiently than its predecessors, making it the most infectious tribe.
Recently, many people who are infected with Covid have a symptom reported called ‘razor seal’ – sharp pain that feels more serious than with earlier strains.
The CDC has not yet published official tracking data about the new variant.
Civil servants of the Global Initiative about sharing all influenza data (GISAID), however, reported from 11 June, Nimbus was found in 13 states, including California, New York, New Jersey and Hawaii.
The COVID-19 virus is constantly mutating and lab tests have demonstrated new changes in the pieke protein of the ‘Nimbus’ strain, making it more infectious than currently circulating tribes and possibly cause serious illness.
Data from the World Health Organization also suggest that it makes more than half of the variants that are currently circulating worldwide.

The name ‘Nimbus’ was conceived by the Canadian evolutionary biologist t Ryan Gregory, the spirit behind many popular variant names.
Researchers have discovered that the newest Omicron tribe showed the strongest ability to adhere to the receptor that acts as a doorway for the virus to enter human cells in laboratory tests, “suggests that the cells can infect more efficiently than earlier strains,” according to To Dr. Lara Herrero, a virologist at Griffith University in Australia.
A preprint study about the tension also showed that antibodies of vaccines and infections from the past were about half to block it as the LP.8.1.1 -Stame that is currently dominant in the US.
Have Covid patients Shared online That the severe sore throat has prevented them from sleeping for several consecutive nights, she had ‘moaning’ and ‘claws’ in their throat, she did not swallow without unbearable pain and unable to speak for about a week.
Nimbus has been important for weeks in parts of Asia, causing more than 1,000 infections in India and caused around 14,000 in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Since then, the World Health Organization has been labeled as a ‘variant under monitoring’.
Despite its distribution over 22 countries to date, the WHO is and retains a relatively global threat of public health thanks to the broad coverage of vaccine and the immunity of the population.
The worldwide agency said: ‘Covid-19 vaccines is currently expected to remain effective for this variant against symptomatic and severe disease.
“Despite a simultaneous increase in cases and hospital admissions in some countries where NB.1.8.1 is widespread, the current data does not indicate that this variant leads to a more serious illness than other variants in circulation.”

Experts expect an increase in cases this summer and notice that there has been one every summer since 2020. Halfway to late summer, the immunity of the booster of the previous fall or an earlier infection has decreased.
People also spend more time in indoor air conditioning spaces, where most viral transmission occurs. And the summer months have usually always seen an increase in more transmitted variants.
Dr. Albert Ko, an epidemiologist at the Yale School of Public Health, said Today: “We can see a Upswing (this) summer as in previous years, and this is expected to be smaller compared to what we experience in the winter.”

Vaccine companies are working on updating their shots to match the trunk ‘Nimbus’. Moderna said at the end of last month that his updated MnexSpike recording will be available against autumn.
A lower dose than the typical COVID vaccins is specially formulated for adults aged 65 and older, as well as people 12 to 64 with at least one or more underlying risk factor for serious Covid, such as cancer, diabetes, HIV, overweight or pregnancy.
The FDA recently limited the availability of Covid -vaccines to those populations.
