“I would love to be captain one day, but that will never happen,” Daly said.
This was the case this year Tiger Forest could have been the captain, but the 49-year-old firmly rejected such an option, so the PGA of America gave Keegan Bradley a chance, who failed to impress.
“Tiger would be an incredible captain,” he added. “I would love to be co-captain or just be a part of it in some way.”

John thinks Tiger would make a great captain, and has no objections to him being co-captain or otherwise part of the team. The leaders of the PGA of America are aware that the presence of figures such as Daly and Tiger Woods would add importance and motivation to this team, and further generate interest in the Ryder Cup.
“I’d love to see it, give my input and hopefully help the boys,” he said. “I think for me it’s an experience I’ve always dreamed of since I won the PGA Championship in 1991.”
The next edition will be held in Ireland and the American team will have a much tougher task, but Daly hopes to be there as part of the team and help Team America.
