The City of Cupertino is accepting applications for one unscheduled vacancy at the Public Safety Commission. This appointment is for a partial term of less than two years, ending January 30, 2027, and does not count toward a full term. Applicants must reside in Cupertino.
The city’s committees serve as advisory bodies to the City Council by considering public input and making recommendations to the council. The Public Safety Committee advises the municipal council on all issues related to public safety, including traffic, police and fire brigade.The position is open until filled. Decorate festive tote bag
Teens ages 12 to 18 can come to the Cupertino Library on Saturday, December 20 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM to decorate and color holiday tote bags. All supplies will be provided and there is room for 18 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Freedom readers
Freedom Readers is a banned or challenged graphic novel book club for grades 5 through 8 at the Cupertino Library. According to the library’s website, the book club “celebrates the freedom to read through diverse characters and experiences. Participants will engage with their peers and do a book-related craft.”
The club will discuss “Borders” by Thomas King on Monday, December 29, 2-3 p.m. Register at the children’s desk.
