Critics’ Choice Awards nominations: How to watch on streaming and cable

The nominations for the 31st annual Critics’ Choice Awards for both film and television will be announced Friday.

Awards season kicked into high gear earlier this week when the 35th annual Gotham Awards were presented in New York City, followed by annual “best of” announcements from the New York Film Critics Circle on Tuesday and the National Board of Review on Wednesday. The nominations for the 41st annual Film Independent Spirit Awards were also announced on Wednesday. On Thursday, the American Film Institute announced its annual Top 10 lists for film and television.

How well film fans know Friday One fight after another when the nominations for the 31st annual CCAs are announced by the Critics’ Choice Association. Like the Golden Globes, the CCAs honor the best films and television during their annual ceremony.

The CCA nominations are expected to be announced Friday at 12pm ET/9am PT on cable E! and USA Network channels. In addition, the nominations announcement will be streamed on CriticsChoice.com, as well as on the CCA, E! Online, E! and the USA Network YouTube channels. The nominations will also be announced on the CCA’s social media channels.

Naturally, One battle after another is just one of the top films competing for CCA nominations. Among the other major film releases in the running are Avatar: Fire and Ashes, Bugonia, F1: The movie, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Is this thing on?, Jay Kelly, Marty Supreme, Sinners, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out MysteryTrain dreams, Weapons And Bad: forever.

The Critics’ Choice Association is made up of more than 600 film and television journalists in the United States and Canada. Earlier this year, the CCA presented the award for best film 2024 Anorawhich went on to win Best Picture at the Oscars.

The 31st annual CCAs will be presented on Sunday, January 4, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Comedian Chelsea Handler returns to host the CCAs, which air on E! and the USA Network at 7:00 PM ET/PT.

Awards season takes shape next week with the Golden Globe nominations

The final major awards season announcement for the month for film and television will take place on Monday, December 8, when the nominations for the 83rd annual Golden Globes are revealed.

Several industry award nominations will be announced in January, starting with the Annie Awards on January 6, the Screen Actors Guild’s new Actor Awards on January 7, and the NAACP Image Awards on January 8.

In addition, the Directors Guild of American will announce television and commercial film nominees on January 7, followed by the DGA’s Theatrical Feature nominations on January 8. The nominations for the Producers Guild of America Awards will be announced on January 9, followed by nomination announcements for the 98th Academy Awards on January 22 and the Writers Guild of America Awards on January 27.
