A brilliant all -round display by Jason Holder against the Barbados Royals hunted St Kitts & Nevis Patriots on the spot in the place in the 2025 Caribbean Premier League Play -offs. Holder made his second half century of the tournament before taking 2/32 with the ball while the Patriots won with one point in an exciting meeting in Kensington Oval.
The royals won the throw and chose to be Bowl and the Patriots started a considerable start thanks to an opening position of 46 between Mohammad Rizwan and Andre Fletcher. When Fletcher and Evin Lewis left in the space of three balls, the Patriots hung back and Rizwan found it harder. He tried a number of DABS and sweeps before he was caught in the border looking for the pressure.
After I had been 46 without loss, the patriots came to 74/5 while Chris Green kept things tight for the royals. From there, the holder Masterclass held this match when he made an unbeaten 53 when he and Navin Bidaisee 74 set up for the sixth Wicket to give the Patriots a defensible total.
It was a steady start of the royals when their innings started with Quintin de Kock and Brandon King 42 for the first Wicket. A few very neat bowling of the Patriots spinners loved to really come into the pursuit with both Waqar Salamkeheil and Bidaisee who both went around a run of their four overs. With the two, the Wickets of the Royals -Openders also shared a Topsy Turvy game back to the Patriots.
Sherfane Rutherford and Rassie van der Dussen both made a considerable start with the last that was unbeaten at 37, but regular wickets meant that the royals always fought to stay in the game
Come on the final was Holder who himself played the responsibility to defend 14 to win the game. Van der Dussen hit the first ball for six, but Holder held his nerve while the Patriots walked winners with a single run.
The royals are now eliminated from the tournament despite the fact that there is one more match to play. The patriots can reach the knockout phase if Guyana Amazon Warriors Last two group phase matches with a wide enough margin for the net Run Rate calculations to favor the Patriots.
