Will the Philadelphia Flyers extend Christian Dvorak?
The Daily Faceoff’s Anthony Di Marco joined TSN Radio in Montreal and was asked about Christian Dvorak’s future with the Philadelphia Flyers.

NHL Rumors: Philadelphia Flyers won’t rush a Trevor Zegras extension
Host: “So just quick about (Christian) Dvorak. What do the Flyers plan to do with him? Is he a good fit and will he be extended? Or is that a stretch?”
Anthony Di Marco: “Look, I think it’s funny. You say I talked to a Flyers source earlier this morning. I don’t think the Flyers want to sell right now. I haven’t checked the score.”
Host: “Just because it doesn’t matter, everyone is so close.”
Di Marco: “Yes, the Flyers have been a quality team so far in the season, definitely not going gangbusters. But I think they are in the middle of the playoff race. I don’t think they plan to extend him anytime soon, but I don’t think there are any plans to trade him, especially considering how good he is with (Trevor) Zegras.”
I do think they are open to an extension. And the number I heard thrown around today was two years and maybe around the same $5 million AAV, and I think they’re going to wait on this closer to the offseason, maybe even past the deadline here.

I don’t think even if they lose them for nothing it’s the end of the world. But I think at this point, while premature, two years in that $5 million range, if he were to keep up his pace, it’s something that would make sense for the players because they don’t have a lot of depth in the middle of their roster, in their pipeline. It’s very doubtful.
And Jett Luchanko will be an NHL center next year. Jack Nesbitt is still a project and a long way off. So it would make sense that Dvorak could keep up with the pace of the game, find the chemistry with Zegras, operate in that hybrid center role with Zegras, and maybe bring them in around the same cap hit number for two years.
