Sheffield Wednesday has had a strange few months. SWFC has seen the end of Dejphon Chansiri’s reign they were put under administrationbut relegation back to League One is inevitable now that the club is on -9 points after twenty games.
Things haven’t improved on the pitch, with just one win to their name all season. That has led to greater pressure head coach Henrik Pedersenalthough a new owner takes precedence over any decision regarding its future.
The Owls have lost four of their last five Championship games after a 3-0 defeat to Derby County on Monday evening. Their only point in that run came at Watford, when a 97th-minute equalizer from Vivaldo Semedo took three points from SWFC.
Their opponents Ipswich Town are one of several teams in the play-off hunt this season. However, the Tractor Boys will have their sights set on one of the automatic promotion spots.
ITFC are currently 5th in the Championship and have recently achieved two very impressive results. Ipswich Town defeated Coventry City 3–0 in what was only their second defeat of the season, and also defeated Stoke City 1–0.

“Ipswich Town will see this as a great opportunity to bounce back from the weekend. ITFC were poor by their standards and need to raise their level again to keep their promotion going.
“That said, I think this will be a comfortable win for Ipswich Town. The Tractor Boys will have too much for SWFC and things could get ugly for the Owls.”

“Sheffield Wednesday will try to take the battle to Portman Road, but we have seen how their situation is weighing on them. They have virtually no depth to lean on, and it is so difficult to keep fighting when it is almost completely in line.
“Ipswich Town will sympathize with the visitors’ attitude but they won’t show that this weekend. ITFC should feel they can blow this one out of the water on Wednesday.”
