A priceless favorite Cool And Classy was up early to eventually take over the running of London Baby. The Lady Dior was caught outside the leader, while Ruby Rules managed to take a lead of one out and two back from her draw in the second row.

Trista Dixon let Cool and Classy run free in the lead and easily held off her rivals in her final two quarters in 27.2 and 26.5 seconds.

COOL AND CLASSIC 21 NOV. REPETITION

Ruby Rules burst out of the pack to finish a strong second just under 40 feet from Cool And Classy with London Baby in third.

Cool and Classy’s mileage of 1:51.8 was noticeably faster than that of the stallion and gelding division where they achieved 1:52.9.

The victory gave the Dixons and Kevin and Kay Seymour as owners a winning double after they knocked out the three-year-old stallion and gelding final with Fight To The End.

Cool and Classy has shown to be one of the best three-year-old fillies in the country. Last season she won the Ladbrokes final for two-year-old fillies and earlier this year she was a brilliant winner in the New South Wales Oaks Final.

Cool And Classy is out of the former good pedigree mare Charming Allie. She won the QBred Triad Finals as a two and three year old, as well as the Redcliffe Oaks and the QBred Breeders 4YO Mares finals.

In breeding, Charming Allie produced older full brother Captains Pick, a winner of 22 races, and Call To Order, who won the Group 2 Hayden classic earlier this year.

Thanks to her win, Cool and Classy has now won $482,000 and will be one of the leading contenders in next year’s classics for four-year-old mares, along with her stablemate Ruby Rules, who is not that far behind her.
