UFC legend Conor McGregor has suggested he will never retire from combat sports during a chat with Mike Tyson.
Conor McGregor is a controversial figure, and that much is clear to everyone. But in equal measure, he is also one of the most infamous (pardon the pun) fighters in all of martial arts history. The Irishman has achieved some great things over the course of his career, culminating in his two world titles in the UFC at featherweight and lightweight.
He may have rubbed people the wrong way more than once, but Conor McGregor’s name will certainly be remembered for generations to come. Now many are watching and waiting to see what’s next for him, with the popular opinion being that he will make his comeback at the UFC White House event this summer.
In one recent chat with Mike Tyson, Conor McGregor had the following thoughts when it came to retirement.
Conor McGregor will not retire from combat sports
“You know what I like, Mike, when you made your comeback. You were asked the question: what would Cus say, what would Cus D’Amato say? What would Cus say now that you’re back, that you’re finally coming back. He’d say: what took you so long?”
“I never bow, fight until the end, until we meet God, the creator.”
McGregor has been heavily linked with a fight against Michael Chandler at the aforementioned White House show, which President Donald Trump is likely to attend. Conor has been teasing the idea of taking on Chandler for quite some time, and if it finally happens, it would be hard to imagine anything else being positioned as the main event above that, given his star power.
