A congressman who bought shares of Magnificent Seven in 2025 has announced his first stock purchases of 2026. Here’s a look at the latest purchases and how they compare to recent transactions.
Cleo Fields shopping list 2026
Congressman Cleo Fields (D-La.) was one of the largest stock traders in Congress in terms of dollars invested, with millions of dollars invested in multiple stocks, including many of the Magnificent Seven stocks.
In a new revelation, Fields shared the five stocks he bought to kick things off in 2026. Here are the recent trades, as shared by the Benzinga Government Trades page.
The latest purchases involved five different companies with two separate purchases of Class C shares of Alphabet. The purchases also include buying shares of two of the Magnificent Seven stocks (GOOG, META).
Stock Trading History Fields
When it comes to buying shares of Magnificent Seven, Fields has become less predictable. The latest transaction involved only two of the seven companies in the big tech basket, and the purchases were on the small side compared to 2025 transactions.
For Meta Platforms, this represented a potential change of heart, as the stock was one of the Magnificent Seven Fields that they were buying fewer shares of. The congressman last bought Meta stock in September 2025.
Netflix has become one of the most popular stocks purchased by Fields. The congressman has purchased more than $1 million worth of stock in the past year, and the stock has often replaced some of the Magnificent Seven names in his disclosures. Fields last bought Netflix stock in December 2025.
Fields also purchased IREN stock in December 2025.
Outside of Meta, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing was the only other stock from the last announcement that Fields didn’t also buy in December. The congressman last bought TSM stock in October 2025. Like Netflix, TSM was one of Field’s top buys in terms of volume and trading activity outside of the Magnificent Seven stocks.
