A great acquisition in the world of Junior Golf:
College Golf Experience, the GCAA approved College Golf Camp Company, has bought Tugr, also known as the Universal Golf Ranking, which has determined both professional and junior golf ranking list by a profitable, head-to-head model. Tugr is made By a team with more than 100 years of combined companies, data analysis and golf experience.
Tugr is proud of his Junior ranking, including 30% more tournaments and 25% more players than the other Junior Rankings, Junior Golf Scoreboard and AJGA. The platform also includes more than just rankings, with ranking trends, heat cards from where players compete, and even how players perform in different weather conditions, in addition to other tools.
“Tugr’s algorithm was made to resolve one of the biggest pain points of Golf-Obreepronted and inclusive rankings via a head-to-head methodology,” said Joshua Jacobs, CEO of CGX. “The result gives university coaches the most accurate analyzes and transparent data to make informed decisions. Tugr ensures that the entire junior golf and professional golf eco-system has access to the most reliable and predictive rankings in the game.”
Jacobs added that Tugr is run by three boards from College coaches, who will form the ‘vision and direction of the platform in their own country and internationally’.
Tugr’s ranking list currently ranks Jon Rahm as the world No. 2 behind Scottie Scheffler, while amateur Jackson Koivun is seventh in the world.
