Sayin threw for four touchdowns in Ohio State’s win Penn State – one more than his total number of incompletions in the game. He went 20-of-23 for 316 yards with a few big throws and no turnover-worthy plays en route to a PFF grade of 91.7.


Defensive Player of the Week: LB Austin Romaine, Kansas State

Romaine ran all over the field for Kansas State Texas technology this week I earned PFF grades above 80.0 as a run defender, pass rusher and coverage defender. He finished the game with nine tackles, resulting in a defensive stop, three pressures and an interception.


Offensive Line of the Week: Florida

Despite the team’s loss against Georgia this week, Florida’s offensive line had a solid day. Four of their five starting offensive linemen posted 67.5 PFF pass-blocking grades or better, and between them they allowed just two pressures on 31 pass-blocking snaps.

Run Defenseman of the Week: LB Tywon Christopher, Kennesaw State

Christopher had one of the best performances against the run in college football this season. He earned a PFF run-defense grade of 96.4, recorded seven tackles resulting in a defensive stop and forced a fumble.


Pass Rusher of the Week: EDGE Colin Simmons, Texas

Simmons recorded a season-high seven pressures, including one sack, for Texas in a win Vanderbilt. He posted a PFF pass-rush winning percentage of 43.4% and forced a fumble en route to a PFF pass-rush grade of 91.3.


Cover Defender of the Week: S Avarion Cole, Western Kentucky

Cole earned a PFF coverage grade of 91.9 during Western Kentucky’s win State of New Mexico. He finished the game with a tackle that resulted in a defensive stop and allowed just one reception for eight yards despite being targeted five times in coverage. He also recorded an interception and a pair of pass breakups.
