HOW TO MAKE COLLAGEN BOUNTY BARS

To make my keto Collagen Bounty Bars, I used Further Food collagen! I love that I can put all the benefits of collagen into a dessert like Bounty Bars!

Furthermore, food collagen is a grass-fed collagen peptide powder that dissolves easily in both pastures hot and cold liquids. Because it is already hydrolyzed, your body quickly absorbs it for support health of skin, joints, intestines and connective tissue from the inside out.

This isn’t just “extra protein” – this is the… structural protein your body uses to stay strong, mobile and youthful.

Detailed explanation

1. Supports skin elasticity, firmness and hydration

Collagen forms the frame of your skin. As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to fine lines, dehydration and sagging.

Supplements help:

  • Improve the smoothness and elasticity of the skin

  • Reduce the appearance of fine lines

  • Support a more hydrated, nourished complexion

This is the beauty-from-within effect – natural, not cosmetic.

2. Strengthens hair and nails

Collagen supplies the amino acids needed formation of keratin.

Benefits include:

  • Stronger, less brittle nails

  • Reduced hair breakage

  • Thicker, healthier hair growth over time

3. Promotes joint comfort and mobility

Cartilage, tendons and ligaments are mainly composed of collagen.
As collagen decreases, joints may feel stiff or painful.

Daily collagen intake helps:

  • Support cartilage integrity

  • Improve shock absorption in joints

  • Reduce stiffness and increase flexibility

This is especially valuable for active individualsolder adults and those rebuilding mobility.

4. Supports the intestinal wall and digestion

Collagen strengthens the mucosal barrier of the intestines, which maintains a strong intestinal wall.

This is possible:

  • Reduce bloating or digestive irritation

  • Support better nutrient absorption

  • Promote a balanced, biome-friendly intestinal environment

Gently supports those who work on it resilience of the intestines.

5. Supplements high-protein, muscle-meat-heavy diets

Most high-protein diets are richer in it methionine (from muscle meat) and lower in glycine.

Collagen helps:

  • Balance amino acid intake

  • Support detoxification and methylation

  • Reduce the ignition load

  • Improve the repair and repair of connective tissue

It fills the structural protein gap that many protein-focused diets lack.

  • In a large food processor, combine the desiccated coconut, collagen powder, coconut cream, sweeteners, vanilla and salt. Add more food creatine when using. Mix until a sticky mixture forms that holds its shape when pressed together. Taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking.

  • Line a baking tray or small bowl with baking paper. Take a portion of the coconut mixture and roll or press it into a stick shape (or small balls/bites). If using almonds, press one into the center of each strip.

  • Place the formed coconut bars in the freezer at least 30-60 minutesor until firm. This is important so that they stay together when dipped in chocolate.

  • Mix the chopped chocolate, sweetener and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring well after each, until the chocolate is smooth and melted.

  • Use a fork or large spoon to dip each frozen coconut bar, one at a time, into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is completely covered. Feel free to double dip the bars for extra chocolate!

  • Place the coated bars back on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt if desired. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator (or freezer for faster results) for about 25 minutes. 15-30 minutes until the chocolate layer is completely hardened.

  • Store the finished collagen bounty bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze them for up to a month.

“I’ve been hesitant to post these photos. I’ve been back and forth about it for a week. But with all these Ozempic commercials I keep seeing lately, I feel like it’s important to show people that you can lose body fat naturally, without those injections, quick fix supplements, starving yourself, stomach stapling procedures, or over-exercising. I’ve struggled with inflammation, fatigue, swelling, lymphedema, lipedema, hormonal imbalance, severe endometriosis, Pre-diabetic blood sugar levels, extremely low thyroid, low testosterone and chronic Lyme disease since I was in my twenties.

Just following a clean, high-fat Keto diet without tracking anything resolved many of these issues, but my body fat composition and energy levels were still suboptimal. My fat loss was extremely slow until I finally broke down and calculated my macros using a free calculator from a keto nutritionist I follow on Facebook, @Keto-Adapted Maria Emmerich. I had always been resistant to it in the past, but nothing else seemed to work. This is when most people get discouraged and say, “KETO isn’t working for me anymore.”

Once I calculated the numbers for my age, height and activity level and started tracking them, I realized that the protein levels I had been consuming were way too low and my fat levels were too high for fat loss. After making these adjustments it was as if a fat burning switch had been turned on. Even without training for three weeks, while recovering from leg vein surgery, I continually dropped inches. I don’t weigh myself, but I do keep track of my measurements and wow, what a difference. Within a month my clothes were falling off and I had to upgrade my wardrobe because my previously tight leggings were too big. Additionally, my cholesterol and A1C levels dropped to optimal levels!!!

If you’re frustrated with your own health journey and want to give up, don’t. Take this as your cue to keep going! All those little things you do to improve your well-being add up. You are worth it!” ~Melissa Baer
