Colby Dicknesse is planning to prove that he belongs to UFC Perth: ‘I want to wage some wars’ | Bjpenn.com

Colby Dicknesse wants to achieve his first UFC victory and prove that he belongs to UFC Perth.

Dicknesse debuted in the short term at UFC 312 when he dropped a decision to Aleksandre Topuria. After the fight, the UFC quickly told him that he would get another fight and is happy that he is fighting back at home in Australia at UFC Perth.

“From a realistic point of view, it doesn’t change anything,” said Dicknesse on Just Scrap Radio on Bjpenn.com. “I still have to go out and fight. I would go to his country and fight for his fans. It makes it easier for my friends and my family. But at the end of the day I have a job to do and that is my hand raised.”

As soon as Dicknesse received the contract to fight Josias Musasa on UFC Perth, the Australian admits that he was not so familiar. But after he had studied him, he knows that Musasa is a dangerous opponent.

“Absolutely no fame,” said Dicknesse. “But funny enough, we both fought against the same opponent, I looked. We both finished him in the first round. But I saw his Contender Series -Vecht, his earlier fights and his last. He is a dangerous, athletic man, but stylistically this is a good matchup for me.”

Colby Dicknesse is the Underdog in UFC Perth, but he is convinced that he has all the tools to beat Josias Musasa.

Dicknesse believes that he will be able to finish Musasa and earn his first UFC victory.

“I think there will be a finish because we both come to a loss, we have some extra fire and we will prove that we both hear in this company,” Dicknesse said. “That does not mean that I will take some unnecessary risks, but that means I have to keep the pressure on and count every second within it.”

Colby Dicknesse explains future goals

If Dicknesse wins on Saturday, this is his first victory in the promotion, which is the next step in his elevated goals.

Colby Dicknesse has plans to be in the promotion for years to come and has many goals he wants to check.

“It would be the first phase of a dream come true. You have different phases. You want to be drawn, I am drawn. The following is that you want to win, and I have not won yet,” Dicknesse said. “I want to go for things, I want big finishes, I want knockouts, submissions, night execution. I even want to fight the night, I want to wage some wars and tick all the boxes that I can. I am 26. So I have 10-12 years left. So I want to earn as much money as possible as I can.”

Dicknesse also hopes that with a victory he can make a quick change to fight on the same card as his mentor, Alexander Volkanovski.

“I train with people, training in the gym since I was 13. If there is an option where I win and share the card with him in December, which could be one of his last possible fights, that would be a dream of me,” Dicknesse concluded.
