Prior to the NFL design of 2025, the browns veteran QB Joe Flacco signed for a one-year deal. The 40-year-old was previously at Cleveland in the 2023 season.

He went 4-1 in five starts with the browns and helped the team to the play-offs in Leiden. Joe Flacco was a veteran QB that Cleveland could trust. During the 2025 design, the browns selected two QBs. Dillon Gabriel in the third round and Sheduer Sanders in the fifth. On Wednesday, October 1, NFL insiders announced that Cleveland Joe Flacco for Rookie Dillon Gabriel in week 5 banks.

With a third round Pick in the NFL design of 2025, the Browns QB Dillon Gabriel from Oregon selected. The 24-year-old is an experienced player who played at a collegial level for six seasons. Dillon Gabriel started his career at UCF and was three seasons at the Knights. Prior to the 2022 season, he crossed to play for Oklahoma. He was with the Sooners for two years. Gabriel used his last season of suitability to play for the Oregon Ducks in 2024.

Oregon went a perfect 12-0 during the regular season and won the Conference Championship vs. Penn State. However, the ducks were upset by the state of Ohio in the play -offs. Dillon Gabriel ended his last collegial season 13-1. In April he was prepared by the browns and he waited for his chance to start. After four games, Cleveland was set to make a switch at QB.

Veteran QB Joe Flacco is given birth for Dillon Gabriel in week 5. The browns are on the way for a neutral place against the Vikings. That is an extremely tough first matchup for Gabriel. He goes against one of the best defensive coordinators in the NFL, Brian Flores. Dillin Gabriel is currently preparing for the training camp.

Against the Vikings in week 5, Joe Flacco will serve as a backup for Dillon Gabriel. The other Rookie QB from Cleveland, Shedeur Sanders, will continue to serve as the Third Strider QB. Through four games, Joe Flacco had an NFL-high eight turnover. That included six interceptions. It was time for Cleveland to make a change, and Dillon Gabriel hopes to start a new era for the browns in week 5.
