UFC Lightweight Chris Duncan is not someone who is afraid to fight at the UFC Apex while he is set up to face Mateusz Rebecki in the Co-Main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday evening.
Duncan (13-2) actually has a weakness for the warehouse fight venue. Fans and some hunters may not like it, but it is a reminder of how he got his start in the UFC.
“I earned my UFC contract (here). I remember that I was a young child who thought to try to get to the UFC. I dreamed of being in the UFC. I flipped out candles, formerly coins in wishes, to try to go to the UFC. That is a dream that said on Wednesday, said.
“I have changed my goals and admirations. Not many people can say that they have succeeded in getting their dream, so I am in a very happy position. Great to be back.”
In Rebecki he has a pressure hunter that is progressing. Duncan knows what to expect from Rebecki on Saturday night.
“We all know that he is coming forward. He is a bit of a fighter. I think he is going to struggle a bit to be honest. Take no genius to know that he will come up with some warmth. So we just have to make sure that we are not caught stupid places. He is a big opponent to have me,” he said.
So what was the secret to get to the UFC? Was it good to wish or maybe the candles?
“This bad boy here,” Duncan said he lifted his fist.
“That brought me to the UFC.”
