Chicago Blackhawks’ 2025 Preservisage Guide – The Hockey Writers Chicago Blackhawks Latest News, Analysis and more

No matter how ready you were for the NHL season 2024-25 to end in June, invariably, the itch for hockey to return. Well, September is here to scratch that itching, even if it is alone in the preseason.

The preseason is a starter, a teaser. Split-Squad Games, Superstars Sit Outside and Fear of Injury League Leading The Row Level (Unless you are that filthy player Looking for a grid place – never change), but that’s okay because we all have to be awakened slowly from the sleepy summer lover.

The Chicago Blackhawks alarm goes off on September 23 for a match against the Detroit Red Wings, which will be the first of six preseason games against the Red Wings, St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild.

There will be storylines to watch despite the Reduction of pre -season matches. Which prospects will shine? How does the team go against rivals of the Central Division? And which collection meals can we get out of the trips?

Detroit Red Wings – 23 and 30 September

The original six franchises will be confronted twice on Tuesday 23 September and Tuesday 30 September. Both organizations will bring forward this season, but the red wings are confronted with more pressure than the Blackhawks – have not reached the play -offs under general manager Steve Yzerman. Nevertheless, we will keep an eye on which players fit for both parties in that first game.

Oliver Moore played nine games for the Blackhawks (Charles Leclaire imagn images) last season

The Blackhawks are so young that it is not entirely true to say that the “young players” compete for opening night schedule. Instead, we will see the depth of the prospect pool of the organization. Although we will not see the third overall selection of Anton Frondell (he returns to Sweden after signing a three -year entry contract in July), players like Oliver Moore and Nick Lardis get the chance to impress.

The preseason is important for these CUSP players, and we have seen in the past that a player who can generate momentum early in the previous season can translate into a consistent regular seasonal playing time. The Blackhawks only play the Red Wings twice in the regular season, but don’t think the players looking for NHL -Jobs will take the present season light. An original six matchup gets the adrenaline pumps, regardless of the time of the year.

St. Louis Blues – September 27 and October 4

The rivalry between the Blackhawks and the blues has cooled somewhat, but both teams still do not play to play each other. And the blues will be a good measuring stick for the Blackhawks during the regular season. The opponents of the Central Division will play each other four times, so the preseason will be an early chance to familiarize itself.

The competition on Saturday 27 September is only the second of the pres season of Blackhawks, so we will probably still see many new faces. However, by Saturday, October 4, the veterans must be on the ice because they are preparing for the opening evening against the Florida Panthers on October 7.

Will the Connor Bedard training in the preseason noticeable? How will Frank Nazar take care of signing a new contract? Will Sam Rinzel continue to look like a cunning veteran at the ripe age of 21? And will Artyom Levshunov continue to justify his second overall selection?

The blues won all three games against the Blackhawks last season, so there will be some motivation for the Blackhawks to also appear.

Minnesota Wild – September 28 and October 3

The wild headlines have taken with the rumor of Sign Kirill Kaprizov for a record contract. But their low season remained fairly quiet, just like the Blackhawks. So when the teams play on Sunday 28 September, we will probably see those players strive to make a name for themselves.

When the teams play again on Friday, October 3, some of the big guns will roll out to set up for the regular season. Keep an eye on Kaprizov and who use the Blackhawks against him. Few can skate like the Russian, but I have a mental image of Nazar that chases him in the corner, so that everyone realizes the legitimate (even more).

De Wild is also in the Central Division and plays the Blackhawks four times in the regular season. Last season the Blackhawks won only one of the four games against the wild. If the team wants to take the next step, those series must swing in favor of the Blackhawks. These two -season matchups are an opportunity for the Blackhawks to generate sailing.

Yes, it’s the preseason, but at least it’s hockey

Hey, I know. It is the preseason. But as much as everyone stacks at the preseason, this doesn’t mean nothing. Players can earn a place. Teams can or start crumbling (the Edmonton Oilers won only three pre -season games last year and started the regular season terrible). Unfortunately, injuries can occur.

So hopefully there is something here to arouse your interest and you are too hype for the regular season.
