We have only just started the new year, but another round of fireworks is just around the corner. That means another round of sales and shopping! Chery Malaysia hopes to grab your attention with the CNY 2026 ‘New Year Prosperity Deal’ promotion, which offers up to RM16,888 cash discount for MY2025 models.
Naturally, the biggest discount applies to the largest car: the RM159,800 three-row Tiggo 8 Pro is the one with the RM16,888 discount. It is followed by the RM11,888 of the RM123,800 Tiggo 7 Pro, which is C-segment in size.
The T7P is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with 197 hp/290 Nm, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The T8P is the most powerful Chery-badged ICE car in Malaysia – the 2.0T engine produces 256PS/390Nm and is also mated to a seven-speed DCT.
The Tiggo Cross, introduced last year, is Chery’s entry-level model in Malaysia. It is available in both pure petrol form (1.5 liter turbo-four with 147 hp/210 Nm, 6DCT) and a hybrid with a combined output of 204 hp/310 Nm. At RM99,800, the latter is the most affordable hybrid in Malaysia, while the Turbo is RM10k cheaper at RM88,800. Both now come with a discount of RM6,888.
In October 2025, Chery launched the RM159,800 Tiggo 8 PHEV and the RM129,800 Tiggo 7 PHEV. The shared CSH powertrain combines a 1.5-liter Miller-cycle turbo-four rated at 143 hp/215 Nm with a 204 hp/310 Nm electric motor integrated into a stepless special hybrid transmission. The combined power is 275 hp/365 Nm. The T8P PHEV is based on the facelift model with an all-new EV-style cockpit.
Both PHEVs come with a discount of RM6,888 and a free extended battery warranty (including motor and control unit) of 10 years or 200,000km worth RM3,000. There is an additional thematic surprise discount of RM1,000 for those who choose the red color option for the Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo Cross Turbo, making a total discount of RM7,888 for the two models.
