The 24-year-old has flourished under Maresca and was disappointed by the club’s decision to part ways with the Italian earlier this month following the breakdown of the relationship between the coach and the board.
And according to L’Equipe, Fernandez is so unsettled by the latest managerial turmoil that he is considering leaving in the summer amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
The reigning European champions built last season’s success around a midfield trio of Vitinha, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz, but Luis Enrique is keen to add more competition for places.
Chelsea are well aware that they will have to find a replacement for Fernandez if they sell him, and a Spanish report has revealed that the Blues are planning to raid Paris Saint-Germain for Joao Neves.
According to Transfers‘CHELSEA are preparing a €125m (£108.4m, $145.5m) bid for Neves, described in the report as ‘a complete midfielder’.

Look, there’s no doubt that Neves is a quality player, in fact he’s world class and a man who could come into the Blues side and make a real difference. But Enzo Fernandez is exactly the same type of player, so letting him leave would make no sense.
All rumors are just speculation CHELSEA wants him to leave. If he wants to go, that will be arranged at the end of the season. For now, he will focus on winning games for the club.
He wants to win trophies and if he can give Liam Rosenior his best football, Enzo will be a big factor in the Blues’ immediate success.
