Chelsea -Baas Enzo Maresca says that his side “cannot give away gifts” after losing a second consecutive Premier League match in which they received a red card.
The blues had control of the opening 50 minutes of their meeting with Brighton on Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, dominated possession and enjoying the better chances.
Enzo Fernandez gave the hosts a deserved lead when he went home up close in the 25th minute.
From there, Chelsea should have gone to victory, but Trevoh Chalobah was sent shortly after the interval when he purchased Diego Gomez just outside the penalty area.
