Chelsea are reportedly keen to sign RB Leipzig striker Yan Diomande Caught offside.
The Blues previously focused on signing experienced superstar players in their quest for quick success under their former owner. However, since purchasing the club, Todd Boehly has taken a different approach, prioritizing the recruitment of highly talented young players with a long-term vision for the future.

This strategy has forced the West Londoners to endure a period without competing for major silverware alongside the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, as young players typically take time to develop and reach their full potential.
However, the Chelsea hierarchy plans to remain committed to this path in the future. Caught offside claim that while Chelsea have expressed an interest in signing Antoine Semenyo to strengthen the frontline, he has decided to join Manchester City to challenge for the big silverware immediately.
As Enzo Maresca’s side missed out on the signing of the Ghanaian, he has shifted focus to alternative options and has labeled Diomande as a serious option.
The west London club have long had an interest in the Ivory Coast international and have closely monitored his development even before his move to the Red Bull Arena last summer.
The 19-year-old still has a contract with the German team until 2030, so they have no intention of letting him leave next year. They have slapped a whopping £87 million price tag on his head to keep the vultures at bay.
Diomande to Chelsea
The report states that Chelsea have also shortlisted Kenan Yildiz and Jeremy Monga as potential targets, with Maresca primarily focusing on signing a right-footed winger.
Diomande has had a great campaign so far this season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in 16 appearances in all competitions.
After putting in impressive performances in the Bundesliga, he has secured his place in the starting line-up of the Ivory Coast national team. He started the Elephants’ first AFCON match against Mozambique on Wednesday and was excellent.
He is a very talented player and would be a big step forward for Chelsea if they were to sign him. However, after signing Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens last summer, the Blues will not need to add any further depth on the left flank unless someone leaves.
