Chelsea are in talks about Dayot Upamecano

There have been media reports claiming that Chelsea are one of the clubs who have now held talks with Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano over a free move to the Premier League at the end of the season.

So far, Liam Rosenior has done some very impressive work CHELSEA and has won five of his six games in charge of the Blues, getting his players to play fantastic football and his stars to perform again.

His aim for the club this season would be to get Chelsea back into the Champions League and possibly add some silverware to that cabinet, but adding players to the squad is always on the agenda for the Blues as there are a few issues that Rosenior needs to solve.

Chelsea’s defensive side has been a problem this season, there’s no doubt about that. The club is missing a proven top-level player who could come in and add some experience to the squad, which has led to all kinds of speculation and rumours.

CHELSEA HAS HAD CONVERSATIONS WITH UPAMECANO

According to TEAMtalkA host of major sides, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter, have all held talks with Upamecano’s camp.

Upamecano’s current contract with Bayern Munich expires this summer, and although Bayern have submitted an extension offer, the club has made it clear that the offer will not remain on the table indefinitely and that the defender will not get a better deal.

COULD UPAMECANO BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR CHELSEA?

CHELSEA have long been interested in signing Upamecano, they wanted the defender even before he joined Bayern and they would certainly like to bring him to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, especially if he is free.

The Blues have the financial power to give Upamecano the kind of contract he wants, and to be honest, the Premier League could be tempting for a player who has all the qualities to handle even Europe’s best strikers.

However, he would be a good signing for Chelsea. He has the quality, leadership and ability to be a very solid addition to Liam Rosenior, that’s for sure.
