Coubis’s afternoon got worse when he was sent away in the 18th minute. He was one-on-one with Joao Pedro, who took it past him before he was brought to the ground by the defender, who was considered the last man.
Chelsea’s third goal came from a penalty after the new signing Estevao was bundled in the box. The Spot kick was quietly converted by replacement Liam Delap in the 67th minute, while he shot the ball in the top left corner.
The visitors went back in the 70th minute when Alexis Saelemaekers played by Youssouf Fofana, who defeated Robert Sanchez in his nearby post.
But Chelsea closed a successful outing, where Delap came up his second. Andrey Santos took the ball for him at the edge of the box and he defeated Melignan with confidence.
