Gaethje defeated Paddy Pimblett at UFC 324 on Saturday to set up a unification fight against Topuria later this year. It will be a highly anticipated fight, and Oliveira is looking forward to it as he believes one of them could be knocked out.
“I wouldn’t give any advice to Justin next time he faces Topuria because it’s a very similar fight. They’re both fighters who are looking for the fight and want the knockout,” said Oliveira said to CasinoBeats. “Justin doesn’t have a plan B. His plan is to move forward and land shots. He’s a fighter. And on the other hand, Topuria is a fighter too, he hits hard and has heavy hands. It would be a fight you can’t blink in because either one could land and get the knockout.”
“Unfortunately I made a lot of mistakes in that fight [against Topuria]and I lost. I think the right way to go is to press, work, hit the feet, but always close the distance and take him down. That would be the key: pressure from start to finish, landing shots, taking him down, keeping him on the ground.

While Oliveira believes Topuria and Gaethje can both take each other out, he is leaning toward the champion getting the win.
Oliveira believes that Gaethje would eventually be caught as Topuria’s power is next level.
“They would hold out and trade and that would make Topuria win,” Oliveira said.
Oliveira could also meet the winner as he will face Max Holloway for the BMF title at UFC 326 in an intriguing fight, and one the Brazilian is looking forward to.
“It’s about who wants it more, who is hungrier,” Oliveira added. “It doesn’t matter if the fight stands, I’m ready. If it goes to the ground, I’m ready. Whatever happens, I’m ready. That’s the difference. I’m an MMA fighter.”
