The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has sent marketplaces to e-commerce on the sale of Pakistani flags and related merchandise.
Minister of Union Pralhad Joshi” In a post on X stated that the CCPA issued notifications to Amazon India, Flipkart, Ubuy India, Etsy, the flag company and the Flag Corporation about the sale of Pakistani flags and related merchandise. “Such insensitivity will not be tolerated. E-commerce platforms will be aimed at immediately removing all such content and adhering to national laws,” Joshi said in his post.
Earlier, the body of the traders, the confederation of all India traders, had written to the Ministry of Handels and the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, where the large e-commerce platforms, including Amazon and Flipkart, openly sell Pakistani flags, logo-bearing mugs and T-shirts. If a disturbing situation mentioned, the trader’s body said that it is not only a supervision, but a serious issue. It had asked for a ban on selling Pakistani flags, logos and related merchandise on all e-commerce marketplaces.
