Catherine Zeta-Jones does not consider to have four houses ‘excessive’.

The mask of Zorro Star and her husband, Michael Douglas, have four properties – two houses in New York, one in Canada and one in Spain, Page six Reports.

“I know it sounds very jet set, and I love to surround myself with beauty, but it’s not exaggerated, it’s very comfortable,” said the 55-year-old Oscar winner The Sunday Times.

The Wednesday actress also said that she was not afraid to publish non-practical items.

“I’m going to all vintage stores in Paris,” she shared. “I buy things that you will probably never wear, like a beautiful cape, just great pieces.

“I love classic Yves Saint Laurent at the moment. I am getting enthusiastic about evening dresses.”

“For me, jeans is a jeans. Published £ 200 ($ A416) on a white t-shirt? Nah,” she continued.

“But when it comes to couture, beautiful beads, the artistry … I love the theater of fashion.”

Zeta-Jones gave her love for fashion and for the finer things to her 22-year-old daughter, Carys.

“She loves my closet,” the mother told two the outlet. “I probably have the biggest Fendi Baguette Bag collection, and she has just found more in my mother’s house. I have everything, from denim to Pearl to sequins.”

A Fendi Baguette bag currently sells for a maximum of $ US11.500 ($ A17.700).

“Carla Fendi always gave me to me, exactly when they were hot potatoes,” she added.

Zeta-Jones also made jokes about her and Douglas, 80, and kept their Oscars in separate houses.

She won an Oscar for the best supporting actress in 2003 for her role as Velma Kelly in Chicago, and Douglas won an Oscar for the best actor for his role as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street in 1988.

“Mine is in the country house in New York, Michael’s is in the apartment in New York,” she unveiled.

“We keep them apart, in case, you know, there is no way there is going on there.”

The Welshe actress noted that she and her husband respect each other’s space. They have been married since November 2000 and two children share together: Carys and their 25-year-old son, Dylan.

“We don’t listen to the nonsense written about us, that’s the most important thing,” she said about their relationship.

“And we respect our space, we are independent spirits. We are very similar; we were born on the same day, 25 years apart.”

“We are not afraid to be verbal, to express ourselves,” she continued. “I wear everything on my sleeve and he too, which is good.”

Zeta-Jones spoke to Douglas that Variety told last month that he ‘deliberately’ left his acting career and is not intended to go back.

“Michael has definitely deserved the chance to slow down,” noted Zeta-Jones and noted that he is now planning to play much more golf.

“But I never say. He is the son of his father and loves to work – say that ‘pension’ is a flexible concept.”
