According to Chris Johnston of the Athletic, Carter Hart started to eliminate teams of the running in terms of his NHL -Comeback. Johnston writes”Heart is due to a working number of lovers, with the Carolina Hurricanes, Vegas Golden Knights and one or two other teams among those who are still in the mix, according to competition sources.”
Hart is at zero at potential NHL landing places while he is preparing to complete a contract next week. Hart, 27, brings experience, appeared in 227 NHL games – most of every active keeper of his age except Dallas’ Jake Oettinger. His priority is becoming a member of a team that offers both a clear path to playing time and a competitive environment. Vegas, with his tandem by Adin Hill and Akira Schmid and Carolina, with goalkeepers Frederik Andersen and Pyotr Kochetkov, that profile fit.
Several teams have already gone aside. The Philadelphia Flyers, the original NHL club of Hart, chose not to go back in again, while Edmonton and Utah have also excluded themselves. The representative of Hart has emphasized the desire for a new start after the past year and a half, including a controversial legal case.
Johnston adds that Hart is expected to sign a two-year deal, may spend time on a conditioning stint in the AHL and returns to NHL promotion at the beginning of December.
The hurricanes were also associated with interest in Michael McLeod, a free agent winger who was up to the five players who were acquitted in the Hockey Canada test.
