Wilkes-Barre, Pa – Captain Albano (Donating) and Harness Racing driver Todd McCarthy went to the front and never looked back and won $ 100,000 degree 3 on Saturday always B Miki Invitational with half a length of Coaches Hoek in 1: 48.2 at Pocono Downs in Mohegan Pennsylvania. Ken Hanover finished third.
Captain Albano put fractions from: 26 ,: 55.1 and 1: 21.4 while he decreased a series of three consecutive fourth place, all with fewer than three lengths, in Sam McKee Memorial, William R. Hahton Memorial and Graduate Series Final. Before that, the 4-year-old stallion won a graduated leg and was second by a nose in another.
Captain Albano, a Dan Patch Award winner at the age of 2 and 3 for coach Noel Daley, has won 21 of 33 career competitions and earned $ 1.71 million.
“His last start (in the McKee) was probably his only disappointing,” said winning driver Todd McCarthy. “We were a bit stunned by it. Every other start, I am really happy that he was coming back so far. Completely credit to Noel, he had him again spot-on again. That was a pretty big miles for him today, and he did well.”

McCarthy was happy to have Captain Albano do all the work on the front on Saturday.
“I would leave it to him and see how he felt for me,” said McCarthy, who won the always B Miki for the fourth time. “If he feels good, he grabs the piece and he wants to go. That is what he did for me today, and I was happy to go with him.
“He is one of those horses that gets better all season. Hopefully this is a good turning point for us, and we can go further and up from here.”
Captain Albano is owned by Patricia Stable, La Express & Sjoblom Inc., Sjoblom Racing and Michael Dolan. The son of CaptainTreacherous-Angelou was bred by Frederick Hertrich III.
Captain Albano has sent the 5-2 second choice and paid $ 7.40 to win.
