Terence “Bud” Crawford confirmed his estate with a statement-making version on Saturday evening from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Crawford defeated Canelo Alvarez via a unanimous decision and removed his undisputed super middleweight titles.
The three jury members scored the fight 116-112 and 115-113×2. I had it 117-111 for Crawford during my live blog. Here are some highlights from the mega event that were streamed on Netflix.
After the victory, the fighting world broke out with reactions and paid their respect for Crawford’s of all time.
Crawford’s ability to take the blow of Canelo was the first important factor. Many expected the Bud the first time that the Mexican legend landed neatly. While the defense of Crawford was healthy all night, some straight rights crawl through. Crawford took them with little problem and gave enough back.
The second factor was the hand speed on the inside. The hands of Crawford were faster so he could win the narrow stock exchanges. By the time Canelo was ready to fire, Crawford Hand ended the flurry and continued to force his opponent to reset an attack position.
Finally, Crawford’s puncture – for the body and the stomach – was a rhythm disorder for Canelo by the first half of the fight. It was just the foundation for the masterpiece.
Here is a look at the official score cards.
He could run away for Crawford, but chances are he won’t do that. If he earned somewhere near $ 10 million for his fight with Canelo, he is still in line for a kind of Mega payment day. It may be difficult for him to walk away from it. However, Crawford has always gone to the rhythm of his own drum. I would like to see him retiring because he will never achieve anything that surpasses this performance. He is legitimate the largest of his era.
For Canelo he is still under contract with the Riyadh season. He could retire, but there is still a lot of money left for him on the table. He could also go until 175 pounds. I would also like to see him run away. It would be a shame to see his legacy affected by fighting too long after he is already further than rich.
