MediateAn important player in the mobile chip industry of Taiwan, has strategically launched his new Dimensity 9500 mobile processor, making his competition intensification with Qualcomm Qcom In the race for power on -evice agent artificial intelligence.

This advanced chip, built on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. TSM 3-nanometer process is designed to provide significant improvements, including sharper 4K photos, improved AI model performance and smarter summaries of calls and meetings.

Smartphones equipped with the Dimensity 9500 is expected to reach the market in the fourth quarter, Bloomberg reported On Monday.

The launch comes as Xiaomi Xiaacy Prepares to reveal its latest Qualcomm Snapdragon-driven line-up this week, with the aim of challenging Apple’s Apepl iPhone 17.

Mediak, on the other hand, positions his new processor to support Chinese brands, such as such as Vivo By competing more effectively in the premium smartphones segment.

Despite the rollouts, business leaders remain careful with broader market conditions. MediaTek projects that global smartphones can only expand shipments in 2025, with subsidies that briefly lifted the demand in China, unlikely that total slow growth would compensate.

To reduce security problems in its American customers, MediaTek also plans to move part of its chip production for automotive and other sensitive applications to the facility of Taiwan Semiconductor in Arizona.

The company is currently in negotiations with Taiwan Semiconductor to formalize this step, which would be in line with the expansion of the Taiwanese contract chip maker.

The factory in Arizona recently reported its first profit four years after the start and has already served important customers, including AppleNvidia NVDAAnd Advanced micro devices AMD.

The facility started at the end of 2023 with 4-nanometer mass production and prepares a second FAB for 3-nanometer output.

Mediakk has also cemented their long-term partnership and has received approval from Taiwan Semiconductor to use his next generation of 2-nanometer process for a new flagship system-on-a-chip (SOC), which is expected to be branded the Dimensity 9600.

Mass production for this advanced chip is the target for the end of 2025, with a market release expected in 2026.
