SSRIs, or selective serotonin re -recording inhibitors, come with their own set of crosses to wear, including:
- Headache
- Nausea
- Vomit
- Diarrhea
- Insomnia or increased fatigue
- Reduced libido
- Inability to get an erection or have problems achieving an orgasm
- Weight changes
Many people who stop using anxiety drugs attribute to side effects, so that people are chosen between the side effects of having drugs or the effects of life with fear.
When it comes to LSD, there are still side effects, but when only one dose is required, the experience is a bit different.
“The side effects, nausea, headache, yes, they are there … on the day of the administration and you have the psychedelic experience, which is a side effect,” said Dr. Fava. “But it differs from the traditional approach because all other treatments require daily administration, and so the side effects continue to exist over time.”
In essence, the participants in the study felt the side effects of LSD, but they wore after one dose. However, their anxiety symptoms require no more than a day of treatment. They remained reduced or non -existent.
LSD as a promising new therapier route
